Hearing Loops at the desk at the Arcadia Public Library

As our library patrons age, they are more likely to experience hearing loss. A hearing loop uses induction technology to transmit sound from a public address system’s microphone directly and wirelessly to the hearing aid’s built in receiver, while also reducing background noise. This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
